QUEEN & KING
CONTEST

One of the more favorable events of the festivals' history is the Queen & King Contest. The Queen & King candidates are 8th grade students selected by their peers by a voting process. The contestants will be judged for poise, personality, appearance, and general bearing and department while on review. The eight King contestants each receive a certificate and a colored 8.5x11 framed picture. All Queen contestants will receive flowers and a colored 8.5x11 framed picture. The Queen will receive a tiara, a trophy, and a dozen roses. The 1st runner-up will also receive a trophy. The remaining contestants will all be 2nd runner-ups and will receive trophies. This year’s contestants’ names, along with the school that each represents, are featured below.
